Italians do it better
I read with interest lately that according to a recent survey produced by condom maker Durex, Italians do it better. Their statistics reveal that the Italian women are the most satisfied in the world and are more likely to reach orgasm, 61% on average, compared to Spanish women (47%), Americans (39%) British (35%), German (34%) and French (32%) and Chinese (19%).
These facts are all the more convincing if we look at the figures that only 10% of Italian women possess a vibrator whereas 49% of British women have one, 43% of American women, 27% of Germans and 20% of French women.
However this prowess in the bedroom is not consistent year round. The sap starts rising in spring but it is in the summer that our hormones start to drive us, men and women, wild. The hot Italian weather seems to trigger our sexual instincts. Men can not refrain themselves to notice the décolleté and legs of the fairer sex, and many Italian women dress to capitalise on their legendary beauty and the higher hormone levels in their male counterparts.
As a result of this, the number of cheating partners and spouses sky rockets to up to 2/3s more than in other seasons – 64.1% of female philanderers prefer summer affairs with a family friend, and 22% prefer a new acquaintance. Men are instead more equally divided with 46% opting for previously unknown woman, and 40% for a friend.
The primary pick up points are beaches, discos, supermarkets and on the Internet. But it is at work where the love sickness epidemic reaches its climax – 61% of Italians have admitted that they go crazy for a colleague in summer.
As a result of the seasonal friskiness, requests for separations triple during September, however not lead to divorce or separation; most just trigger a revision of the prenuptial agreement, and we settle down – until next spring. felix
